If you think you might be sensitive, at least a little more than the average person you know, it’s worth an exploration. Knowing you are highly sensitive opens up a whole new world and worldwide community of peers. Plus there is a lot of information out there to help HSPs design the life of their dreams, stop suffering, and find self acceptance, self confidence, and most importantly, self-compassion.Â
Here’s the thing: There have been a ton of questionnaires put out in the public domain that claim they can tell you if you have the trait of highly sensitive people. Most of them cannot actually do this. Plus, the true assessments have recently been improved, and now is a great time to look into the options and to be well-informed.
For a psychological assessment to be useful and accurate requires it be tested and researched (using valid scientific method) on thousands of people. If not, we have NO IDEA whether or not it is valid. There are, in fact, only FOUR valid assessments for sensitivity in terms of the temperament trait, Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS). SPS is the scientific name for the innate trait of highly sensitive people.Â
We will discuss and discover the four valid assessments in this webinar, look at the invalid questionnaires and explore the harm they are doing to HSPs everywhere, and best of all… learn hacks to help atypical HSPs (and their loved ones) finally figure out if they actually have the trait or not.
